Jerell Goodman
President
Jerell Goodman is the Vice President of Connect Your Home and has been in the pay service industry for over 14 years from working in Portland to Northern California, Jerell has been the organizational force behind Connect Your Home’s success. His experience has been within all levels of the organization: sales, installation, operations, call center and financial. His exceptional drive and determination have been instrumental in the growth of Connect Your Home over the last 9 years. Jerell enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his family in his spare time.
Hank Fos
Vice President of Sales
Hank Fos is extremely well versed in Call Center Operations – with over 10 years in management. He has worked in numerous call center environments including technical support, customer service and sales. With a keen ear for exemplary service, he makes sure that our customers’ experience is a memorable one. With a dedication to mentoring, follow up, feedback and monitoring, he ensures that our 24/7, in-house call center functions as smoothly as possible. His experience combined with strong technical and sales backgrounds has made it possible for him maintain one of the most productive call centers in the country.
Michael Ryan Grier
Vice President of Marketing
Before launching into his executive marketing role at Connect Your Home, Michael Grier served as a business development consultant to several large corporations and was originally hired as the director of marketing and business development at Connect Your Home in 2007. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University, an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State University and an Associate of Arts degree in Web Design and Multimedia from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Michael focuses on measuring and applying online marketing strategies at Connect Your Home while developing marketing campaigns and web sites that are critical to our success.
Michael has said that he enjoys coming to work every day and being challenged by the people he works with. In his spare time, Michael makes the most of the active California lifestyle with his wife, Casey and their son, Breckin by paddle boarding, mountain biking, snowboarding and running races.
Laurie Wade
Director of Finance
Laurie Wade joined the Connect Your Home team in 2005 where she began managing within the service and installation field. As our local installation manager, she is dedicated to providing the very best in-home and commercial experience for all of our local customers. She has played an integral role in the development and continued success of our commercial division and, with a knack for planning and details, continues to grow our local coverage area to include even more homes and businesses. Laurie’s position at Connect Your Home has inspired her to work towards a Bachelor of Finance degree in her free time. In addition to completing her degree, Laurie is also an avid reader and enjoys taking up DIY projects around her home.
Lindsay Ross
Director of Human Resources
Lindsay Ross handles the day to day employee operations at Connect Your Home, where she manages recruiting and staffing trained professionals to meet the needs of our growing company. Lindsay is a great fit as the director of human resources as she supervises internal communications, maintains employee relations and new hire training within the company. Lindsay also coordinates internal employee discounts and community service projects among the staff here. Lindsay enjoys having an active lifestyle with her two daughters and husband while staying involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Ryan Terp
Director of IT
Ryan Terp started at Connect Your Home in 2008 as an IT professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He has become a crucial member of the management team by helping to develop our order management and order processing systems. From helping employees with individual technical questions, to enhancing user-friendly systems both internally and externally, Ryan also handles the logistics of reporting programs, online marketing campaigns and user accessibility. Ryan very quickly showed his prowess in project and technology management as he now oversees our IT development and is vital in decisions about the technological direction of the corporation.
Brian Hansel
Sales Manager
Brian Hansel has been in the sales department for many years now, helping to grow Connect Your Home by providing an integral leadership role to the sales team. From engineering sales team incentives to offering training, Brian has proven his managerial skills after being well versed in the sales department, having originally started as a sales representative when joining Connect Your Home. In his spare time, Brian enjoys hitting the golf course and watching Game of Thrones on HBO.
Abner Castorena
Sales Manager
Abner Castorena has helped co-manage the sales department at Connect Your Home since 2007, where he works daily to encourage the sales team and come up with new performance strategies to help grow the business. Abner previously managed a local screen printing shop before becoming a sales manager at Connect Your Home. When Abner isn’t working hard to motivate the Connect Your Home sales force, he’s attending classes at CSULB to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. A big rockabilly music fan, Abner also loves to play water polo, go running and spend time with his girlfriend and their son.
Russell Fortner
Customer Service Manager
Russell Fortner has been with Connect Your Home in the customer service department since 2007 where he began as a customer service representative. Showing great leadership potential, Russell was promoted to floor supervisor and has been a customer service manager since 2009. A highly ambitious individual, Russell is also working on completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. When Russell isn’t motivating the customer service team and providing his expertise in providing Connect Your Home customers a quality experience, he is at the beach barbequing, playing softball or snowboarding in the winter time.
Bryan Moss
Customer Service Manager
Bryan Moss has worked in the customer service department at Connect Your Home since 2008, starting out as a floor supervisor until he was quickly promoted just a few months later to co-manage the customer service team. Bryan has an extensive background in supervising roles, which reflects in his problem solving capabilities and eagerness to effectively communicate end goals to the customer service staff, ensuring superior service to Connect Your Home customers. When he’s not taking care of Connect Your Home customers, Bryan enjoys trying new restaurants in Orange County, playing basketball, weight lifting and taking road trips, often times to Las Vegas.
Kevin Scobee
Affinity Marketing Manager
Kevin Scobee came to Connect Your Home in April of 2010 where he manages the Alliance Marketing and Discount Programs, forming affiliate relationships with hundreds of companies nationwide. An award winning writer and editor, Kevin is a graduate of the Journalism School at Park University in Kansas City, Mo., where he played baseball and served as the Sports Editor of the school paper. Prior to joining Connect Your Home, Kevin worked as a college baseball coach and entrepreneur, opening a training academy that has since grown to be one of the largest in the Kansas City area.
When Kevin is not working hard at researching new Affinity Program opportunities, he finds himself blogging and writing about baseball for a number of websites, watching movies and spending time on his couch.
Jessica DeFilippo
Marketing Manager
Joining the Connect Your Home team in the summer of 2010, Jessica began as the social media specialist where she managed six company blogs while maintaining all social media outlets. Jessica also worked as a copywriter on staff and transitioned to marketing manager in the fall of 2011 where she now oversees the marketing team comprised of copywriters, web designers, developers, social media, graphic design and SEO specialists. Jessica earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of San Diego where she studied marketing and communication while holding multiple internships in the Public Relations industry.
Outside of discovering new marketing opportunities for Connect Your Home, Jessica enjoys spending time with her shih-tzu Mary-Kate, watching college football and soaking up the sun in Corona Del Mar.
