Corporate Social Responsibility
In the Fall of 2010, Connect Your Home launched its Cause Donation Program. With so many Connect Your Home employees already involved with charitable causes near to their hearts, it only made sense to incorporate that same passion within our company. Every day, Connect Your Home strives to provide the corporate social responsibility key to improving the communities around us and helping underserved causes in need. Bringing society’s interests in line with our business initiatives helps bring the Connect Your Home business model into a new age where “citizen consumers” are making more informed and cause worthy purchase decisions than ever.
Connect Your Home not only provides donations to charities based on new transactions, but our Cause Donation Program also helps create awareness for each cause through social media and blogging efforts. Some Connect Your Home employees may even learn about a new nonprofit group through our Cause Donation Program and become inspired to get involved. Caring at Connect Your Home is in our nature, and putting that intrinsic value to profitable use through connecting with causes nationwide helps keep our minds focused, our feet on the ground, and our hearts open.
Nonprofit Partnerships
Connect Your Home’s Cause Donation Program has partnered with nationally recognized nonprofit organizations in the past year including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. While our Cause Donation Program continues to grow, we look forward to continuing our partnership with these established organizations as we foster new relationships with nonprofits in need throughout our community and across the country.
Submit Your Cause
With hundreds of thousands of charities and nonprofit organizations across the country, we are determined to help out as many causes as possible. If you are interested in submitting a nonprofit organization that you’re a part of or think would be a great fit for our Cause Donation Program, please email: social@connectyourhome.com with your nonprofit’s information. We are currently working with several organizations and will be sure to get back with you in a timely matter because we care about making in a difference in our community and society as a whole.
Companywide Participation
In addition to Connect Your Home’s Cause Donation Program, we also have internal charitable projects that our employees participate in throughout the year. Realizing the greater need both in our Orange County community and beyond, Connect Your Home employees have joined together to help adopt local families around the holidays by providing gifts and meals, giving blankets to OC animal shelters, sponsoring local Little League teams, plus donating shoes to victims of the earthquake disasters in Japan. Other annual events that our employees rally together for are the Duane Clinks golf tournament and the Great Strides walk in Huntington Beach, both of which benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Never taking for granted our prized location neighboring the gorgeous Pacific Coastline, we also make sure to be more environmentally conscious throughout our workplace, albeit at times small – we know a little impact in the office can go a long way in the environment.
Connect Your Home encourages its employees to suggest community service ideas in the company, allowing other employees who are also interested to participate in and grow together through community service projects. We’ve found that by promoting social responsibility from within the company has helped boost morale and form stronger ties throughout our various departments.
